Where It All Began
Church Under The Bridge is the flagship ministry expression of The Bridging Church and the movement from which everything else was born. On July 14, 2024, what began as a simple act of obedience beneath Jakande Bridge in Lagos grew into a worshipping community among some of society's most overlooked people.
Rather than asking people to come to a traditional church building, we bring the Church to them — weekly, consistently, faithfully.

Not a Building
We meet where people are. Under bridges, in open spaces, in the environments where our community actually lives.
A Full Church
Worship, preaching, discipleship, prayer, pastoral care, welfare — a complete church expression, not a charity visit.
Consistent Presence
We show up every week. Consistency builds trust. Trust opens doors. Open doors lead to transformation.
Community, Not Attendance
Our focus is not how many people came on Sunday. Our focus is how many lives are being shaped by the Gospel over time.
Two Communities, One Mission
Jakande – Lekki
Our founding location. The bridge where it all began in July 2024. The original community that proved the model works.
Pen Cinema – Agege
Our second location, expanding the reach of Church Under The Bridge into an entirely different part of Lagos.

Worship & Praise
Every service begins with worship — genuine, Spirit-led praise that reminds every person present that they are welcome before God.
Biblical Teaching
The Word of God is preached clearly and practically, addressing real challenges while grounding people in truth.
Prayer & Ministry
Personal prayer, intercession, and ministry moments create space for people to encounter God's presence directly.
Fellowship
Relationships are built deliberately. We eat together, spend time together, and do life together.
Welfare Support
Refreshments and practical welfare provision are part of every gathering — meeting physical needs alongside spiritual ones.
Discipleship
Beyond the service, we invest in personal discipleship, mentorship, and long-term spiritual formation.
Emergency Care
Pastoral care, counseling, emergency interventions, and practical support are available outside Sunday services.
Reintegration
We actively assist individuals with housing, relocation, vocational support, and family reconnection.
Everyone Who Has Been Overlooked
Church Under The Bridge serves individuals from diverse backgrounds who have found themselves on the margins of society. Regardless of their circumstances, every person is welcomed as someone created in the image of God and worthy of dignity, care, and hope.

Ola's Story
When Ola first encountered Church Under The Bridge, he was living a life shaped largely by survival. A few weeks after we began, he joined a Sunday gathering out of curiosity. Nobody invited him. He simply stopped, listened, and returned the following week. Then he came again. And again. As discipleship continued, biblical teaching began to shape his understanding of responsibility, family, and purpose.
Without pressure from anyone, Ola abandoned habits that had previously dominated his life. He stopped smoking, stopped drinking, changed his appearance, became more disciplined, and committed himself to personal growth. The church community walked alongside him as his family was assisted in securing accommodation.
